Picture of World Map with hours per week spent on gaming

Employers have told educators that problem solving is one of the employability skills that is most important for students to build. Additional research shows that gaming develops many levels of problem-solving skills, including future problem solving and problem-based learning. eSports provides students an opportunity to develop those skills in a team-based environment.

Elementary Esports

Students in grades K-5 will start with Minecraft, being introduced to STEM concepts through gaming.

Middle School Esports

Students in grades 6-8 will continue to have access to Minecraft and be introduced to Rocket League and Nintendo titles. This will continue a focus on STEM concepts and introduce competition aspects.

High School Esports

Students in grades 9-12 will have the opportunity to participate in eSports as part of the largest eSports league in the country. Students will be competing using the PlayVS tournament platform competing in Rocket League, Smash Brothers, Mario Kart and the hope to add Valorant if there is enough teams to compete. STEM will continue to be part of the focus. We will have regular scrimmage opportunities throughout the fall, and we will start tournaments in spring. If you are interested, please fill out this form.
